Our story

WHO WE ARE

In 1978, Mountain View Winery was established in Morgan Hill, California. Spectacular vineyards were chosen from various regions throughout California. From its inception, Mountain View Winery has produced wines of superior quality. Our vineyards are located in regions that offer strong varietal character due to exceptional weather/climate/soil conditions, including Monterey, Amador, Napa, Sonoma and the Central Coast. 

More than thirty-five years since its inception, Mountain View Winery continues to offer some of the finest California wines on the market.

2021 MONTEREY COUNTY CHARDONNAY

This highly regarded vineyard has produced award-winning chardonnay for over 30 years. Un-oaked chardonnay from our Tecolote vineyard In Monterey.

2021 CALIFORNIA WHITE BLEND

Our California White Blend gives off crisp, bright flavors from four uniquely mixed white varietals. Mature fruit from the heart of California, stainless steel aging, and crisp acidity form the backbone of this well-balanced yet complex wine.  Blended with 40% Pinot Grigio, 35% Chenin Blanc, 20% Chardonnay, and 5% Gewurztraminer

2021 ZINFANDEL ROSÉ

Rosé from the California Central Valley, ideal for growing Zinfandel grapes. Crisp, bright flavors and fresh fruit aromas, including wild cherry, strawberry, and watermelon. Low residual sugar making it crisp!

Deep ruby in color, our 2021 Merlot

has a tempting aroma of black

cherry and red ripe plum, with hints

of vanilla tobacco, and clove. . A rich and luscious mouthfeel.

2018 SANTA MARIA PINOT NOIR

Pinot Noir from the Santa Maria Valley. The prevalent fog and ocean breeze make this growing region ideal for this opulent wine. Aged 6 months in French Oak barrel.

2019 RED BLEND

Our California Red Blend is composed of 50%  Cabernet Sauvignon, 50% Cabernet Franc. The multi-varietal blend allows for a unique, medium-bodied finish. A soft yet powerful wine withbright red coloring, which shows beautifully following the 6 month aging in French oak.

2018 CABERNET FRANC

Vibrant aromas of dark red berries, raspberries, and black currant.  On the palate, fresh herbs and spiciness exude. The tannins are very soft in the mouth, with an iron-like minerality on the finish.
